The varsity boys basketball team played Wilcox tonight in its final game of the season.
It was Senior Night for the girls basketball team as the players took on Cupertino High School and won 53-17.
The varsity wrestling team performed well at league finals at Cupertino yesterday, February 11, sending 7 wrestlers out of 14 to the next round of the CCS league finals. Co-captain senior Chris Jimenez and junior Paul Hernandez placed as league champions, adding on to their record of placing in prior league finals as well.
The dance team took first place in the Varsity Hip Hop division at a competition hosted by the Universal Dance Association (UDA). The team also won 4th place in Varsity Jazz (in which 8 out of the total 14 members participated).

In a must-win game against the Homestead Mustangs, the Eagles busted out a come-from-behind victory to win 47-40 today, February 7. The Eagles came into the game with an overall record of 4-5, and needed the win in order to keep their CCS hopes alive.
Every year, high school sports cause 2 million injuries, 500,000 doctor visits and 30,000 hospitalizations. In almost every high school football game, someone on the field suffers a minor concussion. Despite the obvious dangers, high schoolers continue to turn out for sports tryouts in droves. What inspires students to play despite pain and the obvious risk of injury? What effects do these injuries have on the lives of these students, both on and off the field?
