The varsity boys baseball team won its first round CCS game against Leigh High School yesterday, May 17.

With four days of dodgeball down, the tournament has now reached the competitive phase. Games on Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 17 proved that teams are warmed up, competitive and ready to battle it out for the championship.
LAHS was one of 127 California high schools named to the 2011 Honor Roll by the California Business for Education Excellence (CBEE) yesterday, May 15. The 2011 Honor Roll signifies California high schools that are successful at reducing achievement gaps and maintaining high levels of student achievement.

The team started off strong, hitting nearly every first pitch and bringing two runs in right off the bat. With the help of sophomore Natalie Hollenbaugh and her triple, the girls advanced two more runners home.
The undefeated varsity lacrosse team clinched league playoffs on Thursday, April 19 with its 10-5 win over visiting Carlmont High School.
The varsity lacrosse team shut out Woodside High School 9-0 today, April 17, in a victory which showcased a strong defensive effort coupled with smart and efficient ball control by Los Altos.

A number of students came to school to find their lockers vandalized today, April 16. Graffiti was evident, as many of the locks were found missing and the metal latches clipped off, making lock replacements impossible. So far, 33 students have come forward to report damaged lockers.
Every year, the administration and ASB work hard to make the Diversity Assembly and the week’s activities engaging for students. The assembly yesterday, April 6, was no exception. Performances ranged from dancing by the Latino Student Union (LSU) to sophomore Max Chi playing on the erhu, a Chinese instrument.
The Haiti Solidarity Club hosted a benefit concert at the Los Altos Youth Center yesterday, April 6. All proceeds went to F.O.P.A.D., an elementary school in Port-au-Prince that provides educational resources for 450 children whose families were stricken by the earthquake in 2010. The club said that without the school, the children would not be able to afford an education.
