
The cafeteria buildings were painted over winter break as a result of a campaign by seniors Sophia Steffens, Marissa Mirbach and Marissa’s mother, Susan Mirbach. They have been working with the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) and the administration to help renovate and improve the cafeteria.

During brunch today, November 9, three seniors and their parents took part in a signing ceremony in the quad.

The Relay Company, an independent pop band, played a surprise show for students during lunch today, November 3.

LAHS hosted a presentation from Salman Khan, founder of Khan Academy, a revolutionary online learning resource, today, October 17. Khan was the keynote speaker of the fifth annual Science and Technology Week at the school.

History teacher Pete Bjorklund received the Hero in the Classroom award during brunch yesterday, October 15. The award is given to 16 teachers across the Bay Area.
Steve Jobs, the visionary behind Apple and known by some as the name synonymous with innovation, died of pancreatic cancer today, October 5 at the age of 56.

The school’s Amnesty International club hosted the year’s first Jamnesty open-mic night on Friday, September 16 at Mountain View’s Red Rock Café. The event allowed performers to showcase their talents and helped Amnesty raise money to help political prisoner Leonard Peltier and soon-to-be-executed Troy Davis.

The school held a fire drill today, September 6 during Tutorial/Advisory. All students were evacuated from their third period classes to the grass field in back of school.

This year’s Homecoming Court has been selected after the Senior Class voted on Tuesday, August 30.

The school held its annual Back to School Assembly today, August 18 in the large gym after fourth period.
