The boys soccer team has been holding tryouts for the past three weeks and is focusing on making up for the large loss of last year’s seniors.
With Thanksgiving in two days, I can already picture the food overflowing on the kitchen table with the giant stuffed turkey at the center. However, I also know that I need to cut down on the extra calories. The first solution that I come up with is going to Equinox, located on 440 Portage Avenue, Palo Alto.
Varsity boys basketball has a strong returning core with two leading scorers, seniors Simon Rosenbaum (12.5 ppg) and Bemi Onipede (9.1 ppg), playing for the third season on varsity.
This school year the wrestling team has moved up from the El Camino League to the De Anza League. Year after year the team has improved and as a result, they are one of the top wrestling teams in the league. Head Coach Randy Jimenez is determined to put his players against anyone.
The boys varsity cross country team qualified for states during the CCS Championships on Saturday, November 12 at Crystal Springs.

Following the life of John Edgar Hoover, the longtime director of the FBI, “J. Edgar” tells the story of an ambitious man who pours his life into one organization. The film is simultaneously a story of the man and the bureau, which become so intertwined that it is nearly impossible to tell them apart.
The movie follows Hoover (Leonardo DiCaprio) from the time when he first joins the Bureau of Investigations. It then progresses through his appointment to director to the creation of the FBI as it is known today and his years as director of the organization. Hoover’s relationships with his protege and near-constant companion Clyde Tolson (Armie Hammer), his personal secretary Helen Gandy (Naomi Watts) and his demanding mother (Judi Dench) reveal the personal and lesser-known side of the powerful man.
