The varsity boys baseball team won its first round CCS game against Leigh High School yesterday, May 17.

With four days of dodgeball down, the tournament has now reached the competitive phase. Games on Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 17 proved that teams are warmed up, competitive and ready to battle it out for the championship.
The varsity softball team crushed Willow Glen High School 5-0 to advance to the second round of CCS today, May 16.
The varsity lacrosse team shut out Woodside High School 9-0 today, April 17, in a victory which showcased a strong defensive effort coupled with smart and efficient ball control by Los Altos.

The varsity baseball defeated Homestead High School 7-5, today, April 4. The game went back and forth as both teams battled for the win, but in the end the Eagles secured a lead and improved their record to 14-3.

March Madness did not disappoint this year. The tournament marked by upsets and unpredictability continued its tradition of excitement as No. 2 seeds were upset by No. 15 seeds and favored seeds dropped out of the tournament long before they were expected to.
In what was most likely his last game playing for Kentucky, freshman Anthony Davis came out strong. Only a nineteen-year old freshman, Davis proved to be vital in Kentucky’s win tonight and is likely to be the No. 1 player to be drafted by the NBA this summer.
The University of Kentucky Wildcats made history last night by winning the 2012 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball tournament, dominating the Kansas Jayhawks 67-69 in an enticing game.The Wildcats grabbed their eighth national title tonight, reinstating that they are the No. 1 college basketball team in the nation. The team was ranked No. 1 for 20 out of the 29 weeks this season.
Ohio State came out with one of its fastest starts in the tournament against its most difficult opponent yet, but the team’s efforts were not enough; Kansas rallied back for a 64-62 win.
Since 1985 (when 64 teams began to participate in the NCAA tournament as opposed to the original 53 teams), there have only been six games where the No. 15 seed has beaten the No. 2 seed—and two of those games happened to take place in this year’s March Madness tournament.
