This year 51 juniors qualified for the first round of the National Merit Scholarship program. To be considered for the title of National Merit Scholar and enjoy the aid it provides when applying for college, juniors have to score in the top percentile of the PSAT exam proctored nationwide.
The first round-qualifiers attended a lunch time meeting in the college/career center that informed them about the program.
The students who make it to the final round will enjoy better access to scholarships.
