The first band concert of the year has been postponed to Thursday, October 15 at 7 pm. The concert was originally scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, October 13.
The postponement is a result of the severe weather expected tonight.
“It’s supposed to be 70 mph winds tonight and at concert time it is only going to be worse,” band director Ted Ferucci said. “So the administration asked us to move it because they are concerned with people’s safety.”
Some band students expressed frustration over the postponement.
“For me it’s irritating because I only have a water polo practice today but Thursday I have a game,” band member senior Tim Neiman said. “So it’s more things for me to juggle.”
The concert consists of performances by Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and Concert Band. Its postponement has no effect on other groups within the Music Department.
