Senior Class Fundraises With ‘Boolicious Breakfast’

The Senior Class is hosting a breakfast fundraiser tomorrow, Wednesday, October 21, from 7 a.m. until the start of second period in the cafeteria. The breakfast is open to staff and students.

The meal will cost $5 per person. Food will include coffee cake, bagels, fruit, croissants, muffins, donuts, cereal, oatmeal, juice, hot chocolate and coffee.

According to Senior Class President Anjali Mehta, the Class of 2010 set the start time at 7 a.m. in order to make it possible for students and teachers with zero periods to attend.

This is the first breakfast fundraiser the current Senior Class has held. However, previous years have held similar fundraisers.

The Senior Class has been planning the Boolicious Breakfast for about a month and a half. The officers had to begin communicating early with restaurants about donating food. The coffeecake is donated by Hobees, the bagels from Posh, and fruit from DeMartini’s.

Anjali said the theme for a “Boolicious” Breakfast was inspired by the upcoming Halloween.

“It’s like delicious, but from a ghost,” she said.

Money raised from the breakfast will go toward the Senior Class’ prom. Anjali said the class feels it will to earn enough money for the dance.

“We’re really close,” Anjali said. “We’re right on track.”
