Love is in the air

While some may say that Valentine’s Day is just a day that reminds people that they are single, the true meaning behind this holiday is not commonly understood. Valentine’s Day was created to allow people to show their affection for one another.

However, nowadays, Valentine’s Day has evolved into an occasion for everyone to “share the love” with all those important in their lives.

For the lovebirds out there who insist on showing the world how much they truly love each other, this is the one day when people will not look down upon you. Feel free to show all of us your PDA, call each other “snookie” and show some emotion.

While this day may be perfect for couples out there looking to spice up their relationship or show the world how perfect they are, Cupid’s favorite holiday doesn’t have to be just for lovebirds; it is the perfect day for people to ask their special someone out on a date.

For those guys or girls that could not gather up enough courage to kiss their crushes at midnight on New Year’s Eve, this is a day when they get another shot.

Just when it seems this holiday cannot get any better with the almost guaranteed smooch, people actually give out presents, too! Now, if you’re a guy, it might be hard to convince your girlfriend that the new Xbox 360 game is in fact the perfect gift to show her love and affection, but when your girlfriend is feeling lovey-dovey, your dreams may just come true. If you are a girl, you can literally ask your boyfriend for anything you want because chances are he is scared of what you might do if he doesn’t.

Some might say that this holiday is overrated and depressing for singles, but chances are they also hate fun. Valentine’s Day is the one day of the year that guys won’t be yelled at for being whipped and girls get 50 percent off on all the chocolate their hearts could desire. It is a night you deserve to go out on and enjoy some romance.
